Spring 2023 Newsletter
Happy Spring lovebird! Thanks for being a newsletter subscriber. I am grateful to have you here, and I’m so excited to finally be sending out my very first one. This form of communication allows me to be able to share much more of my life and personality with you without the rules, restrictions, regulations — and wrath — of social media!
Each month, my newsletter will include several sections including: announcements, availability & touring, a previous month recap, several date ideas for the upcoming months, some morsels (recommendations) from my current ‘media diet’, and a (mostly) lighthearted little ‘ins/outs’ trend list for the month. 🤍

✨ WINTER RECAP ✨
I started off the month wrapping up my trip back home to Los Angeles to visit family and friends. Just as often as I get the travel itch, I get the itch to be back in my space, especially once day six of being in the same house as my mother rolls around, lol! Regardless, I of course thoroughly enjoyed my seventh time seeing the renowned Southern California based Pink Floyd tribute band, Which One’s Pink with her & best friend. Pink Floyd was one of my late fathers favorite bands and, in attempting to connect with his memory, quickly became one of mine. My best friend, being partially raised by his hippie-burner mother, was obviously super game to join me.
Since settling back into the swing of things after my trip, I’ve been spending most of my time either studying for my ACE Personal Trainer Certification, preparing my taxes (yawn), making small improvements to my apartment and my self-care/wellness routine, getting outside more, and obsessing over my new air-fryer (I know I’m very late to the party on this one 😆).
April is shaping up to be rejuvenating one! Not only do I have a delicious duo to look forward to, I’ll be seeing one of my favorite comedians, Greta Titelman, perform in Brooklyn, and have my volunteer orientation for a local pet adoption center! As the weather warms, I look forward to spending more of my days at the nearby parks & gardens.

✨ I’M LOVING… ✨
Sounds Like A Cult (Podcast)
Forever fascinated by cultic studies and the psychology of cults, I became an instant fan of this well-produced and entertaining podcast hosted by comedian Isa Medina and cult researcher and author of ‘Cultish: The Language of Fanaticism”, Amanda Montell.
V by Unkown Mortal Orchestra (Album)
After five (long awaited) years, Unknown Mortal Orchestra is back, following up his 2018 album Sex & Food, bringing us more delicious funky indie/folk/jazz tunes in his latest, V! My favorite track: Guilty Pleasures.
Velvet Dragonflies by Billy Chapata (Book of Poetry)
The latest book of poetry from Zimbabwean poet and best-selling author, Billy Chapata, is an insightful, mood-provoking collection, providing nuggets of wisdom and infinity of interpretation through beautifully crafted language.
Mae Martin: Sap (Netflix Comedy Special)
They have been making me laugh and cry since Feel Good (also on Netflix), a comedy-drama about identity, love, gender, addiction, and obsession, which impressively maintains a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. This new special is no exception!
“Under the covers, we made friction of each other and friction of everything else.”
